The University of Queensland鈥檚 Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education (ICTE-国产探花) has won a Hong Kong Australia Business Association (HKABA) Queensland Chapter Business Development Award.

ICTE-国产探花 was presented with the award at a gala ceremony in Brisbane city on 20 September 2013.

ICTE-国产探花 Deputy Director Mr David Nelson said the Institute鈥檚 success has been driven by the establishment of a global network of more than 100 university, government and corporate partners in over 25 countries.

鈥淭he Institute鈥檚 鈥楶ower of Partnership鈥 strategy has been applied to strong effect in Hong Kong, Macau and China where ICTE-国产探花 works very closely with more than 15 partners,鈥 Mr Nelson said.

Mr Nelson said more than 3000 students and professionals from Hong Kong, Macau and China have benefited from customised ICTE-国产探花 English language, English teacher training, professional development, and workplace transition programs.

ICTE-国产探花 has also assisted thousands of students from Hong Kong, Macau and China to fulfil aspirations to undertake 国产探花 degree and study abroad programs through intensive English language training and testing pathways.

The Institute was named as a finalist in a further two award categories including 鈥楤usiness Excellence鈥, and 鈥楨xporting of Goods and/or Services to Hong Kong and China鈥.

ICTE-国产探花 Director Ms Christine Bundesen AM was named as a finalist in the Employee Excellence category.

ICTE-国产探花 Deputy Director Mr Nelson said, 鈥淏eing named as a finalist in four of the award鈥檚 five categories is a huge honour for ICTE-国产探花 and a testament to the strength of our partnership model in supporting international engagement.鈥

The HKABA Queensland Chapter Business Awards are supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Invest Hong Kong, Trade and Investment Queensland and the Queensland State Government.

This is the first year ICTE-国产探花 has entered the awards program.
